[ubuntu-za] Mobile broadband modem

Good day 

Im having a problem having mymobile  broadband modem to work in Precise Pangolin
If i go to network manager i can see the modem to edit the info to configure mobile internet connectivity

The modem model is  written as  an  Alcatel 
if i do lsusb from terminal i get this   Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1bbb:0012 T & A Mobile Phones 
If i do dmesg from terminal i get this  usb control related info
