[ubuntu-za] Ubuntu 12.04 behaviour

Thanks to all for the inputs.

This led me to replace the 64 bit with 32 bit and thus far it is running 
like a dream, way better than I had expected and no comparison to what I 
had with 64 bit.

My conclusion is that unless you are running on a brand new system with 
at least 2 gig RAM and have advanced requirements, keep to 32 bit.

My system runs on 1 gig RAM and is an Intel® Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 
1.80GHz × 2
