Hi Nico, Try sudo apt-get install boot-repair
Also for you backups copy your /var/cache/apt/archives/ to a usb stick
and also your /home/ folder
Then you will have all the packages you have downloaded and all your
personal setting from home such as whatever is in im and what you have
installed. I dunno about the classic bit
