[ubuntu-za] Unity and other DEs

I'm having a problem with my 12.04 I have Unity, KDE, Gnome3 installed as
Desktop environments. When I login to KDE or Gnome3 it takes a long time to
login and when i then login into Unity i get a desktop with no launcher
then i have to reset Unity Configuration.

I'm reusing a home partition which I have been using since 10.04.
