You need to find out what hardware drives your webcam, Mercer provides
assembled machines, so it could be whatever they chose to use at the
time. a quick search did not show the hardware specs for your model
make, try dig deeper and find out what webcam make/model is built into
your laptop.

then search the ubuntu forums for your webcam make
