[ubuntu-za] Apt-cacher-ng mirroring

Hi Raymond,

Yes I am aware of the proxy details and that whatever package the client machine requests gets downloaded and cached for future use. However the mirror part I am talking about is for the apt-cacher-ng to pre-cache all the packages for a distribution before a client even requests it same as apt-mirror does (new function recently added to apt-cacher-ng).

Hi, I've used it. Once it is set up you just need to point you machine at
the proxy. This is done by creating the following file:
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/proxy
It should have one line:
Acquire::http::Proxy "http://server:port"

Then it works like a bomb, no other changes, added custom sources as usual
and they will be cached
