Hi fellow geeks
For a while now we've been using a Lexmark Pro980 printer for colour
printing.
It is simply plugged into the wall power outlet and it serves the whole
house through WiFi.
I was initially really pleased with the printer, as setup was a cinch,
compared to the silly HP printer range.
Quite recently I discovered I am unable to print anymore. I can see the
printer, and I can ping it from my PC. But when I send the print job,
I receive an error message saying the 'printer can't connect with the
computer'.
Any suggestions/solutions?
Some notes:
*Our network makes use of static IP's
*I am able to print to the other printer on the network, an HP LaserJet 2050
shared through an XP machine.
*I can print to the lexmark when I boot into windows, using the same IP as
on my 'buntu boot.
*The driver is written in Java (broken JVM, maybe?)
*I can print using my 10.04 laptop.
Any help will as always be appreciated!
