Guys, I think we're over-complicating things for Ian.
Ian, I think you first need to understand what "sudo" is, and why it's
asking you for a password (which is YOUR password, actually). Then you need
to determine whether or not you actually have the PostgreSQL server
installed. And then we can look into setting up PostgreSQL and logging in
to it with pgAdmin III.
