root at ubuntu:~# fglrxinfo

OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON X700 Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3.5272 (X4.3.0-8.16.20)

root at ubuntu:~# glxgears


glxgears does not print any fps or anything, but the gears spin ok.
how can i check my fps? or fix it

my refresh rate is @ 60hz, how can i make it goto 70hz?
