If I understand correctly the main scope of UW is ..
<quote (taken from our website.)>
Ubuntu-Women is a team functioning under Ubuntu to provide a platform
and encouragement for women to contribute to Ubuntu-Linux, a Debian
based free and open-source GNU/Linux software. Our main role will be
along the lines of supplementing and being the stepping stone toward
the larger Ubuntu-Linux world
</unquote>

FWIW, we dont restrict membership on the basis of gender or any other
criteria for that matter. So how does any project undertaken by UW not
satisfy the above?

I am not sure I understand. As mentioned earlier we have no rules for
participation. So how does using the wiki "tie it exclusively to UW" ?

Does anyone feel that having our wiki undermines our contribution
upstream in some way ?
