I forgot one thing, re: refresh needed to run Ubuntu 22.04 in high-res terminal mode

and also, use the mouse to click, select text to copy and paste it..

thanks again. As I said, this is all stuff I did like... ~15 years
ago, and enough things have changed, including terminology, that some
pointers would be VERY welcome.
