Ubuntu Unity 22.10 missing Launcher & Menus

I don't think planning to upgrade all the way to the next LTS is
feasible. It's under a lot of active development right now and stuff
is changing. E.g. 22.04 depends on and installs GNOME and GNOME Shell,
but hides it.

In 22.10 it's removed.

I think 23.04 will use the new version of Unity that doesn't depend on
Compiz any more.

I reckon configure a separate /home partition, and think about
reinstalling each version. I hope it will stablize soon but maybe it's
too early days just yet.
