Odd thing about that drive it works fine when booted from (F12 choose and boot 
Win7), it only plays up when accessed from my latest Ubuntu (Kinetic) I have 
not tried from Bionic (yes it is bit out of phaze but was upgraded from 16.04.6 
32 bit) yet

As far as anything crucial on that drive it is only a Win7 test bed (the drive 
was moved from an Asus Aspire that died because of a power cut "During" a BIOS 
update, you always think about an UPS too late (or you get used to having a 
charged laptop even though you always run from mains when BIOS updates are in 
the offing)
