removing wslview from Ubuntu-only computers?

Ah. Since gimp-help-en isn't installed (because it won't do so
without its wslu-friend coming along for the ride), I don't have to
currently worry about any of its dependencies.

Wait. What? Are you saying that two copies of Firefox should be
installed on the same machine to satisfy some needs that aren't met
by the enforced default Snap installation of Firefox?
If so, that just made the Snap installation even worse than I
originally thought it was. Why isn't the Ubuntu team providing us
with all of the needs of our default Snap Firefox installation? It
seems odd that they would ship the operating system without
everything it needs for all of its default software already in place,
and I'm having a lot of trouble imagining that two installations of
Firefox on the same machine could be the necessary solution.
And just out of morbid curiosity, would these two installations of
Firefox on the same machine prevent wslu from being installed at all
or are those unrelated?
