Hi Tom,
I tried to see in BIOS if there is an update menu / sub-menu, non.
Earlier all the test / install of PA was without changing the original
kernel, but no luck.
I did the Windows thing, but something embarrassing happened with
regard to one of my id / password not working after some time.
So, I took windows out.
This is the first time I went with a non regular brand, Lenovo / Dell
/ HP / Asus. I am not recommending Avita to others now. It is my
personal belief that, if I can't install either one of the OS's, Linux
or Windows, without any major issues like I am facing; over multiple
Ubuntu versions; then that hardware is not up to quality. In the past
I have migrated others from Windows to Linux, and there were no issues
with any drivers.
Well besides that and my frustration :) , I did read online about
Debian 11 not having any issue, so will try the live usb of that.
While installing this time I did check the box for Third Party drivers
to be installed, but no luck.
If sound is directed to the HDMI lines or to Bluetooth ... silence.
<< So true :)
Thank you
Nitin
