Hi,

yes, I have experiences with Ventoy. I like it very much. If you want to
use persistent Linux ISO only, format the ISO partition as ext4.

That's how my ventoy.json does look like:

[rocketmouse at archlinux ~]$ cat /mnt/v1.ventoy/ventoy/ventoy.json
{
    "persistence": [
        {
            "image": "/xubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso",
            "backend": "/xubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-pers1.dat"
        }
    ]
}

Ubuntu flavours still use "casper-rw", don't trust the claims that
"casper-rw" is abandoned, has changed to something else.

This is a thread about the trouble I had, when I was new to Ventoy:

Note, the Ventoy developer is obviiously an Arch Linux user. I'm mainly
an Arch Linux user, too. IOW I 'm using an Arch Linux [1] install to
make Ventoy sticks, not my Ubuntu install.
