If you backed up everything that was changed, you should be able to
replace it with the original files, but it's possible that system
files responded in some way to some of the changes you made, making
further changes of their own. and unless you know what those
responses and/or changes were and can properly and/or safely undo
them, you might not be able to fully recover from this with the files
in their current state. Probably the best approach would be to start
over.

That's good. Hopefully you also have it backed up in at least one
other location.
