Documents folder missing after UEFI?

Greetings,

Laptop with dual boot Win 10 and ubuntu 18.04 needs upgrades including
VirtualBox.  When doing the upgrade, system says I need to set UEFI
and have a key.  I did that, then on reboot, a blue screen popped up
saying that something about MOK (MUK?) and press any key.  But my
attention was elsewhere and before I could hit a key, normal boot
continued.

Once into my desktop, my "documents" folder is missing out of home.  I
don't want to do something wrong in case it will cause data loss.

Any suggestions?
