Hi,

as somebody who is using syslinux for his multi Linux install desktop
PC, I wonder, if those CDs are using GRUB at all. Probably the majority
of computer users prefers to install GRUB over syslinux, but for live
media syslinux isn't that seldom used.

Maybe I misunderstand the issue, but if the computer doesn't boot the
CDs, the assuiming neither the CDs nor the CD drive are broken, even a
prompt from GRUB installed to the hard drive won't help. I suspect you
need to change the boot order by the BIOS settings.
