Epson Perfection V100

[Grizzly]

Trying to get my Epson Perfection v100 Scanner to work on Bionic, I tried by

running Simple-Scan from terminal, it sees a scanner and knows it's an Epson 
Perfection V100, wants drivers & gives a link to epson support  

After that a a run-around found

downloaded and installed but Simple Scan still thinks no drivers are installed  

any pointers please

I can send out-puts
