Had an LG that was in the same price range, ten years ago. It was kind
of blah. Did not really get excited about the colors or the sharpness
of the picture. I don't recall having ratings of the sort you show
below, so I can't say, yeah, it will be a better monitor.
But the viewing angles were not bad. Colors and focus were not too bad
for quick graphics, even. For the price, I didn't think it was bad.
My wife knocked it over while she was cleaning and the backlight
broke. But backlights should not be a problem on new monitors.
My older multimedia monitor is more robust and has a much better image
for graphics, and a viewing angle comparable to a good CRT. Detailed
graphics are much easier on it. The price when new was more than
double the LG's.
If I were buying a new monitor now and had the money, I'd pay extra to
get a good one.
