Most repairs I had to do in around the last ten years were replacing
voltage undersized capacitors of switching power supplies. This is a
known predetermined breaking point. The LG has got an external power
supply. An advantage for cheap equipment, since disassembling and
assembling of cheap gear could take more than a day and even then parts
of the casing might get broken, while replacing an external power supply
takes just a few seconds.
