Hi,

I started with ordering the cheap LG monitor and for the money I saved,
I ordered a second SSD for my PC, to get rid of all internal HDDs. For
backups and archiving I ordered a replacement HDD for one of my
external HDD controllers.

If the image quality of the LG at least should be as good as of an aged
CRT, I perhaps could enjoy to have just two moving things inside my PC,
the fan of the PSU and the DVD drive.

My guess is that you are right, the LG likely isn't optimal. OTOH for
DAW usage it might be good enough and a computer with just SSDs likely
is an improvement for a home recording studio. However, my first SSD is
just ½ a year old, so I ensured to get a new external HDD manly for
security reasons, but also related to the limited size of the SSDs (2 *
223.57 GiB).

Regards,
Ralf
