I think you must have something else going on. I never turn my router
off--it stays on for weeks and months, whether I turn one or all of the
computers on or off during that time.
Now once in a very great while I may see something weird, but that can
usually be attributed to a local lightning storm, even tho the router
and computers run off UPSs.
