rootkit checking

For some time now I have been a regular user of rkhunter, and
sometimes chkrootkit. However, I just came across a reference to Lynis. Can
anyone tell me whether Lynis is thought to be superior to these, or is it
just an alternative? Which would people recommend for a home computer? They
are all in the repos. I don't want anything too complex.
