If they use CWMP they should block that port for the rest of the world 
IMHO.

In your router config you probably have the option to forward ports, so 
you could forward that particular port to a non-existing local IP 
address (outside the router's DHCP range). Of course it depends on your 
router if port forwarding has priority over the internal use of that 
port.
