Here we have someone who is not a native English speaker, who is
clearly not a proficient Ubuntu user (yet!), and who has mentioned a
specific piece of software (Ubuntu Software Centre).

Putting those three things together, sending him straight to a command
line and getting him to execute commands using sudo is going to be
daunting, and exposes him to quite some risk of screwing things up very
badly.

Might I respectfully suggest that the first steps are to find out what
he are trying to achieve, what he are actually doing, and what the
actual symptoms of his problem are?

Firing command lines at him is not very helpful.

Of course I may be underestimating the guy - but underestimating
someone is generally more helpful than overestimating them.

Just a thought. Take it easy.

Regards, K.
