Open a terminal.
Change to the download directory, by
cd /path/to/download_directory
replace "/path/to/download_directory" by the real path.
Then run the commands mentioned here:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-users/2016-August/286991.html
If it shouldn't work, copy the commands you run and their output by
selecting it with the mouse as usual, then right-click and select copy
(don't use Ctrl+C), after that use the paste option, that doesn't wrap
lines. I'm not using Thunderbird, so I only could explain how to do
this with Claws and Evolution, the mailers I'm using. If Thunderbird
doesn't provide such an option, paste the output to an editor, save it
as a file and attach the file to an email or use http://pastebin.com/
or similar and post the link, but in no case send something unreadable
formatted to the mailing list.
Regards,
Ralf
