It did say it was rebooting but it never comes up.

The only error I see is:

[Failed] Failed to start LBS: VirtualBox Linux kernel module

after that several more lines say [OK]  until it gets to the line:

[OK] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes

Then nothing further happens.  It stops there and does nothing more

Yes, but each starts the same way and stop permanently in the same place 
as described above.
