Internet dropping for some programs

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. Lately the Internet drops out. But not
on all programs. All the browsers just sit trying to resolve host.
Thunderbird is trying to reach the mail servers. Deluge keeps on
downloading and uploading. My media server still continues to work
to my PS3. I can ping the router and all other devices on the network,
but nothing outside of the network. I have found that rebooting
the system doesn't work. Rebooting the router, TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750
dual band wireless AC Gigabit router, does the trick. No other
computer, laptop, tablet or phone has this issue. It happens if I am
connected to the 2.4 GHz or the 5GHz side. I have the router setup
with dynamic IP. I have DHCP server enabled. However, I have all the
systems that connect to the router on Address Reservation. I
haven't tried to set a static IP on an android device, IE phones and
tablets. Because it only happens to my system, I don't think the fault
lies with the router, but I could be wrong. I looked this problem up on
the Internet, found a few fixes. They seemed to work for about 2
weeks, now it is back to dropping out whenever it feels like it. I went
back to those fixes and they are still the way they were when I fixed
it the first time. I have System Monitor up and running, when the
Internet drops out, it looks like a heart beat on the network history,
unless
Deluge or the media server is uploading or downloading.
