15.04 Server will not boot reliably after install

Hi,
When I upgraded to 15.04 weeks ago, similar problems appeared.
For me it looked like the root drive / and the /var partition failed to
mount, for the newly upgraded kernel.
I was able to bypass the issue by selecting, at grub2 boot menu, an older
kernel version, and boot into Unity.
You may have a try.
