I have no problems paying for software if it is useful and I think it is
worth the money.
Macros are bits of scripting code that allow you to automate various
tasks in the program, among other things.
Since I wrote the original message I did discover some manuals on the
download page. According to them BasicMaker is not available in the
Linux version. The web site mentions "other languages" so I wrote them
an email to see if maybe python or javascript could be used on the Linux
version.
