PamUsb Problem

Hi

Just tried to use PamUsb (pamusb-tools) 

followed the instructions

with usb in all works fine

remove it screen locks fines (password dialogue shows)

replace usb, nothing happens
try my password, that fails twice, (didnt want to risk the third fail)
restart via menu
open a terminal
now only the usb lets me work (sudo, su...)
password no longer works

is there a known problem, I looked around the net and found similar posts but 
they all "could" use their password
