With   Ctrl+Alt+F...   change to a tty.

Post the output of grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of
lightdm's log files

Perhaps even relevant output is too long to post it here, if so send a
link to http://pastebin.com/ or a pastebin alternative were you posted
the output.
