Dear silver.bullet,

I have configured my Ubuntu 15.04 desktop virtual machine to use 1
virtual CPU instead of 4 virtual CPUs.

With 4 VCPUs, I will always get kicked out after logging in and
returning me to the login screen.

With 1 VCPU, at least I can login without getting kicked out. But the
task bar on the left side does not appear and all I get is a blank
desktop wallpaper. I can right click and start X terminal.

The output of "grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log" is as follows:

(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
[ 30.508] (EE) open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory
[ 31.488] (EE) AIGLX error: vboxvideo does not export required DRI extension
[ 31.488] (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
[ 32.148] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "VirtualBox
mouse integration" (type: TOUCHSCREEN, id 9)
[ 32.204] (**) Option "config_info"
"udev:/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:06.0/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.0/0003:80EE:0021.0001/input/input5/event4"
[ 32.204] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "VirtualBox USB
Tablet" (type: TOUCHSCREEN, id 10)

There are several log files in /var/log/lightdm. Which one should I
copy and paste?

teo-en-ming at ubuntu1404:/var/log/lightdm$ ls
lightdm.log lightdm.log.old x-0-greeter.log x-0-greeter.log.old
x-0.log x-0.log.old x-1-greeter.log x-1-greeter.log.old x-1.log
x-1.log.old

Yours sincerely,
