After format global shortcuts and media keys stop working

After formatting my main workstation(14.04) 2 days ago some problems 
started occurring.
As usual I set up ^K and ^Shift-K to turn my keyboards led on and off. 
At the next reboot I was informed of a program malfunction, after 
checking /var/crash it was unity-settings-daemon and all my global 
shortcuts(the keyboard ones mentioned earlier, ctrl+alt+K for terminal, 
super+space for language switch etc.) had stopped working(but workspace 
switching, alt+tab etc was working fine). After a reboot this was fixed. 
Today when I booted my computer again the same thing happened, a reboot 
fixed it again and no crashes were reported. A reboot fixed it again. 
Any help would be appreciated.
