I did not get any output

I also ran lsb_release -a

I get this

Release: 17

I even navigated to my ,
/etc directory

I ran 
cat debian_version

This is the output

jessie/sid

If we can get Thomas to run the same commands and give us the output, then I can setup a system just like his and we can use that to experiment on.
