LiveCD won't run on my Toshiba notebook

Hi,

Don't know if this is related, but I had a similar issue on a friend's 
laptop (very old Toshiba laptop) and that could not handle a kernel with 
PAE (physical address extension) so we ended up with a lubuntu 
derivative  whose name escapes me ATM ;), based on Ubuntu 12.04 it is 
likely to be the last time that laptop can be upgraded as most new 
versions have PAE by default ;(

As I said, don't know if it relates to your troubles, I'm just putting 
it out a a theory!
