Hi,
The install .iso is kind of generic once burnt to a disk it will install
Ubuntu on any machine!

If you wish you can use a USB pen drive to install Ubuntu, the only
proviso is that your laptop will boot from USB, but if it has no
built-in drive how else would you do it? ;)

I personally now use a pen drive (16gb but 8gb will do fine) to install
every time as I have found it quicker to 'burn' (using unetbootin, as
'start-up-disk-creator' has never worked for me) and much quicker to
install, and it has the added bonus of being a 'live' system to show off
to friends on their machine, without having to make excuses for the lag
when running off of CD.

Good luck
