But on my first glance I didn't find anything on external writers.
Anyway, I remember buying a regular cheap one from HP for ~30$. I
regularly lend it to other guys, has worked everywhere so far, on Mac,
different Linux distros and Windows. Regarding Ubuntu, you're not in
need to install a driver or similar. Plug in and start burning.
