The first thing (or one of the first) I do after a fresh Ubuntu
install is removing the pre-installed LibreOffice. Maybe I don't need
to do that any more, but I always ran into so many bugs with the
”Ubuntu version” of LibreOffice. Not that the standard version is
particularly bug free, but the ”Ubuntu version” bugs were often very
hard to work around, without doing a ”remake” of almost every
spreadsheet I have from scratch. This was a couple of versions ago,
now I just remove it without even testing it, then I install the
standard version. Besides, since I decided to use only LTS versions of
Ubuntu, the ”Ubuntu version” of LibreOffice will be extremely old and
outdated before it's time for the next LTS.
