So I was able to find bespin (aka skywriter aka ACE) from mozilla. but i am not able to figure how to integrate it in my web pages?

https://github.com/ajaxorg/ace/wiki/Embedding---API

they have a complete web based IDE too, Cloud9, but i am not that big a programmer. ACE editor is very good, online demo is nice.

has some here tried to embed the ACE editor on their web servers?

thank you

hi thx all,

I am looking for an editor which will live on my web server and will let me edit files on my server.  bluefish seems to be a GNOME/desktop app. virtualmin is not what i am looking for. i tried to open quanta+ site but page didn't load... http://quanta.kdewebdev.org/

so the search is still on, for a web based editor (syntax highlighting is desired for multiple languages).

thank you.
Rajeev

Are you asking about a web page editor?

Since the 11.10 upgrade I've been stuck with Bluefish. It's in the repositories. The upgrade did an auto delete for Quanta+.
