Still no notification about this but I have been playing with it some
more. I have installed Firefox 4 on the following systems:
Ubuntu 10.04
Ubuntu 10.10 in Vbox on 10.04
Ubuntu 11.04 in Vbox on 10.04 system default version
Ubuntu 11.04 on a laptop system default version
XP native install
all of them display as shown at http://puu.sh/1Qd3.
If I look at the error console right after startup I see a variation of
this message on all systems: Could not read chrome manifest file
'/home/jfb/firefox/extensions/{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}/chrome.manifest'
There is no chrome manifest file at that location.
Maybe a clue? It would be interesting if someone that sees a correct
dialog and someone who does not could indicate if they are getting the
same error message.
Thanks, Jim
