No, that *is* a real argument. Opera wont displace Firefox or Chrome in
the Ubuntu default install for at least the reason that it is non-free.
Ubuntu policy is to only ship free-as-in-freedom software.

The context here is the default browser on Ubuntu, not personal
preference or default browsers on games consoles. I have my own reasons
for not using Opera, and I've neither much of an idea nor much concern
as to who or what is the market leader in web browsers.

Which is why Chromium is in the default install (well, I think it is,
the point is that it *can* be), while Chrome is not.
