Internet working intermittently - IP settings messed up ?

If you are on a dynamic IP you can play trickery with the ISP and get a
new IP issued whether they like it or not.  Just use your router to
clone or unclone a Mac on the network and it'll issue you a new IP, but
in general, if you do not know much about securing your own network,
then no, it's not safe to post your IP.

To Add: If you give me the modem model I can give you it's configuration
IP (if the modem supports it) as well so you can see what the modem has
for internal diagnostics.
