Okay I have 2 profiles in my WICD network manager with 2 IP settings, but
simply switching over does not work, what works is
1. Changing the profile in wicd.
2. Calling a shell script called home.sh / office.sh whose content is :-
+ ifconfig eth0 down
+ ifconfig eth0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask 255.255.255.0 up
+ route add default gw xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
My question is : Once I change the profile in wicd why do I need to run this
shell script?
Many thanks,
Ashim.
