Keyboard problem

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 French version, with Belgian keyboard "eliminate
dead keys". Until version 10.04 of Ubuntu I had no probem with my keyboard:
since 10.10 I have this ^e when I try to insert a e with the ^ on top of it.
Anyone of you has a clue of how to resolv this problem?
