Depending you could have the same problem as Windows where if you don't
install with AHCI or raid mode enabled you're going to have trouble
getting AHCI after the fact.  If and when you do decide to go native
SATA.  I haven't tested it lately either so it would be nice to see if
that's still the case.

I don't know if AMD is the same with it's raid but I would assume they
are since it would make it rather gruesome to mix single drives in with
raid setups otherwise >.<
