Lost gnometris!

An irritation, mostly, but I wonder if it bodes ill for other stuff.

Somewhere along the road, my Ubuntu 9.04 install  gnometris program 
stopped running. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the gnome games 
package with no success.

Other games in the package work OK. When I try to invoke gnometris, I 
get the 'starting gnometris' box on the bottom line, and then it goes 
away after a few seconds.

Is there a log file I can look at to help figure this out?
