First: HOW am I supposed to acertain this? (as I mentioned before: I am
not a computer specialist and do not know; sorry)
Second: How come there is no problem at all setting up / establishing
the connection under PCLinuxOS???
(naturally all the same hardware)
All I had to do there was to enter the encryption code given on the
bottom of the router.
That is something even I can handle, whereas under Ubuntu I am toiling
for a week now ...
In between - sometimes, and then only for short periods - a connection
actually **WAS** established.
That means, if I am not very much mistaken, that the hardware is working.
Or am I, again, simply too stupid and miss the point entirely?
